“Some people might call the style of my paintings naïve or primitive — but I prefer one viewer’s description of my work as “the least cynical paintings I’ve ever seen.”

I am from England, and many of my paintings are romantic representations of that country, but many of my more recent paintings depict California, where I live now. But all of them are bright and whimsical.

You might think of these paintings as Sunday afternoon yard sales of the soul: full of scraps of material, song, ideas, memories, some inconsequential, some nonsensical, all lovely and of value in their own way.”
